Manuel Uresta Longoria was born June 17, 1914 in Port Lavaca, Texas. The son of Jose Sosa and grandson of Natividad, Manuel married Aurora Suniga Nov. 17, 1937 in Gonzales, Texas. Of that marriage seven children were born; Francisca, Fidencio, Fidel, Felipe, Florence, Faustina and Fredrick.
